About Pathways to Learning
More than a decade of delivering high quality outdoor programs and camps to students, schools and families

Providing Multiple Learning Platforms in the Outdoors
Pathways to Learning (PTL) was organized to provide pathways to learning to youth, most of which stems from our underserved populations throughout the state.
Today’s youth’s learning pathways are generally restricted to an electronic device or within the four walls of a classroom. Youth are spending on average 8 hours a day on an electronic device. We need them to unplug and reconnect with the outdoors and each other. This is why Pathways to Learning was formed.

We Are All Better Learners Outdoors!
More than 80,000 students have been served through Pathways to Learning unique outdoor learning environments.
- Located in Payson, Arizona State University's Camp Tontozona. Mobile STEM Discovery Lab (MSDL), brings all the outdoor education and fun of camp right to you.
- We provide experiences that are based on the experiential curriculum and teaching, made possible through community partners.
During a summer camp, a camper who was also a youth in the foster care system said this about camp, solidifying the need to make sure these outdoor education platforms are provided for all students to learn and grow from: “I have never felt so comfortable and welcomed than at camp. Life today is about what phone you have, your Facebook, or the clothes on your back. I have a new identity and interest in STEM through what was taught. I am on a better path for my life.”
